Bill Cole was first elected to the Baltimore City Council in 2007 and has over fifteen years of experience serving the people of Maryland.  He began his career serving as a Special Assistant to Congressman Elijah Cummings and has since turned his focus to his Baltimore, his home of more than 25 years.

In addition to his service as councilman, Bill is an Associate Vice President at the University of Baltimore, where he also teaches as a professor in the Legal and Ethical Studies graduate program.  He also serves a number of roles throughout the city of Baltimore, helping to encourage tourism and development as a director of Visit Baltimore and the Downtown Partnership & Downtown Management Authority, among several others.

With Bill’s leadership, Baltimore is taking active steps to welcome businesses and add jobs.  He was instrumental in supporting the expansion of UnderAmour and has focused on supporting the preservation of important Baltimore sites such as Fort McHenry.
