Molly Ward has served as Mayor of Hampton, Virginia since 2008. Prior to being elected Mayor, Molly practiced law full time until winning election for Treasurer for the city in 2001. She still practices part time, as her responsibilities and duties allow, serving “of counsel” with the law firm of McDermott Ward.
Active in her local community, Molly chairs Hampton Roads’ Planning District Commission, Transportation Planning Organization, and Military and Federal Facilities Alliance. She was also appointed by Virginia’s Governor as the local government representative on the Operational Review Task Force of The Commonwealth’s Accounts Receivable.
