Senator / Miami, FL
Senator Annette Taddeo is a small business owner and a working mom representing Miami-Dade who moved to this country from Colombia as a teenager, put herself through college and has lived the American Dream. Taddeo was Charlie Crist’s running mate in the 2014 Florida gubernatorial election and in 2017, in a huge upset with national implications, Annette was elected State Senator for District 40. It was the first time in Florida’s history that a Democrat flipped a seat from red to blue in a special election, as well as the first time voters sent a Latina Democrat to serve in the Florida Senate. Taddeo was subsequently re-elected to a full 4-year term in 2018. She is honored to serve on the Transportation, Banking and Insurance Committees and on the Appropriations for Transportation and Economic Development and Criminal Justice Subcommittees. Senator Taddeo has been elected by her peers as the Miami-Dade Delegation Vice Chair.
