Alabama House Minority Leader Anthony Daniels sponsored a bill that would extend Alabama’s current overtime pay tax exemption that he helped establish in 2023. It would also create a commission to study the economic impact of the policy. “These are hardworking Alabamians that are putting into our economy,” Daniels said. “These are not handouts. These are dollars that they are earning.”
