Idea Category: Clean Energy, Climate Change
In response to a recent federal order that seeks to “reinvigorate” America’s coal industry, Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller signed an executive order to accelerate renewable energy projects and preserve Albuquerque’s 30,000+ acres of natural space. The order aims to increase urban shade cover, preserve parks, and transition to 100% renewable energy for city operations before 2026. “We’re staying the course for clean air, for public health, and for a future where every family has a shot at a healthy life,” Mayor Keller said.
