Arkansas Senator Clarke Tucker’s Bill to Define “Public” Meetings Passes

Arkansas Senator Clarke Tucker’s bill clarifying rules for meetings among elected officials outside of public meetings passed the Arkansas Senate 34-1 and is on its way to the Governor’s desk. The bill defines a “public” meeting as any interaction between at least two members of the same school board, city council, or quorum court, thus applying Freedom of Information Act Rules.
