Connecticut Senator James Maroney announced the launch of the Connecticut Online AI Academy, a partnership between Charter Oak State College and Google, which has already netted an enrollment of 1,600 residents in its first week alone. The program offers AI training at no cost, providing residents with hands-on learning opportunities to develop career-focused skills. Maroney hopes the program serves as a scalable model, and said "...to achieve...gains and to ensure Connecticut’s workers can qualify for jobs that require AI skills, we must immediately invest in robust training opportunities that prepare our residents and businesses for the future. Doing so is one of the most important steps we can take to ensure Connecticut emerges as a national leader in AI."
