Durham Mayor Leonardo Williams Spearheads Investment in Youth Engagement and Combatting Gun Violence

Spearheaded by Durham Mayor Leonardo Williams, a new fund will support 15 of the city’s nonprofits focused on youth engagement and combating gun violence. As city leaders work to reduce youth-involved crime, Williams emphasized, “I believe that the more kids that we have involved in positive, productive activities, the less that we’re going to have on the streets.”
