Legislation sponsored by New Jersey Senators Senators Troy Singleton and Lou Greenwald to provide home down payment assistance to low- and moderate-income residents has made a significant impact over the past two years. Through the Down Payment Assistance and First-Generation Homebuyer Program, more than 7,400 residents have become homeowners. Additionally, another Singleton’s  bill has resulted in 424 municipalities adopting plans to meet their affordable housing obligations.
