Annette Taddeo

Former Senator | Miami, FL

Former Senator Annette Taddeo is a small business owner and a working mom, who moved to this country from Colombia as a teenager put herself through college and has lived the American Dream.  Taddeo was Charlie Crist’s running mate in the 2014 Florida gubernatorial election and in 2017, in a huge upset with national implications, Annette was elected State Senator for District 40. It was the first time in Florida’s history that a Democrat flipped a seat from red to blue in a special election, as well as the first time voters sent a Latina Democrat to serve in the Florida Senate.  Taddeo was subsequently re-elected to a full 4-year term in 2018. She was honored to serve as Vice-Chair on the Ethics and Elections Committee, as well as a member of the Banking and Insurance Committees, and Criminal Justice Committee. Senator Taddeo was elected by her peers as the Miami-Dade Delegation Vice Chair.
