Anthony represents Central Oregon, one of the fastest growing regions in the country. Prior to serving in the legislature, Anthony was a Bend City Councilor, where he championed economic development and safe transportation, resulting in the first signed city-wide bike and pedestrian network in Bend.

In his first term in the Oregon Senate, Anthony passed legislation to fund and form the first permanent wildfire prevention fund, end physician and nurse non-compete agreements, drive housing production, and stabilize the crisis of unrepresented criminal defendants. Anthony serves as a lawyer for federally recognized Indian tribes and is the former Chief Judge of the Warm Springs Tribal Court of Appeals.
