Grant Hauschild

Senator | Northland, MN

Senator Grant Hauschild grew up in North Dakota and Minnesota and has dedicated his career to ensuring small towns and working families have a strong voice in shaping their future. After earning degrees from the University of North Dakota and George Washington University, he began his public service in the Obama Administration at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, focusing on rural development and strengthening small-town economies. He later returned to the Midwest, serving as Political Director for U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp and working for a rural healthcare system in Northern Minnesota.

Grant now represents the largest and most rural district in Northeast Minnesota in the State Senate, where he’s known for working across party lines to deliver results for the Iron Range and Arrowhead communities. From healthcare and education to infrastructure and local industries like Mining and Timber, his focus remains on making rural Minnesota a place that leads and thrives. He lives in Hermantown with his wife, Grace, and their two children, Henry and Isla, and spends his free time enjoying the outdoors and staying connected to the communities he serves.
