Senator Rod Hickman represents Mississippi’s 32nd District and brings a distinguished record of service, leadership, and advocacy to the state legislature. A native of Macon, Mississippi, he is an accomplished attorney and educator dedicated to justice, equity, and opportunity for all Mississippians. Before his election to the Senate, Hickman served as a prosecutor, public defender, and legal instructor, giving him a unique perspective on both the challenges and promise of Mississippi’s legal system. His experience in the courtroom and classroom continues to inform his approach to policy — practical, people-centered, and rooted in fairness.
