Victoria G. Wilburn, DHSc., OTR, CLT, FAOTA is a tenured associate professor and a nationally recognized community engaged researcher focused on improving healthcare access through community partnerships. Her professional excellence has been recognized with honors including Occupational Therapist of the Year, Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association, and induction into the Indiana Latino Leadership Circle. Her broader leadership has been acknowledged by Boston University, the Indiana University Office of Women, and the White House. In 2021 she testified before Congress as a national expert on the healthcare workforce and began her own political journey by winning one of Indiana’s highly competitive house district as a first time candidate by 232 votes. Dr. Wilburn currently serves as a State Representative in the Indiana General Assembly, is the Ranking Minority Member of the Judiciary Committee, and a member of employment, labor and pension and public health committees. She has received multiple awards for advancing nationally recognized mental health and disability policy.
