Andrea Cruz Hernandez
Executive & Office Assistant and Associate Podcast Producer
Andrea Cruz Hernandez works with the NewDEAL as an office assistant and associate podcast producer. She is originally from the Bay Area, where she attended Las Positas Community College and received her Associate of Arts in Political Science. She transferred to the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she recently graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in American Politics and a minor in Spanish.
During her education, she was a senator for Student Government and an intern for The California Public Interest Research Group as the Co-coordinator for the Open Textbooks Alliance Grasstops. Andrea has experience with management and leadership skills and is bilingual. She hopes to attend Law School and practice Immigration Law from Latin and Central American countries and believes that pro-growth progressive leaders/policies are the only way we can find solutions to this modern day.
