Melodie Barrau
Executive Assistant to the CEO
Melodie Barrau is the Executive Assistant to NewDEAL's CEO. Originally from West Palm Beach, Florida, she studied Political Communication at The George Washington University, where she recently graduated with her Bachelor of Arts and a minor in Law and Society.
Her professional experience spans the intersection of policy and communications, including internships with Congresswoman Lois Frankel’s office, a strategic communications firm, a nonprofit, a gubernatorial campaign, and a previous fellowship with NewDEAL. A first-generation bilingual daughter of Haitian immigrants, Melodie is deeply committed to supporting Democratic leaders who create meaningful change for their constituents and communities.
