Nassau County Announces Open Checkbook

NewDEAL Leader Nassau County Comptroller Jack Schnirman announced Open Checkbook, a new website to expand transparency and let the public explore how the county spends taxpayer money. The first phase allows users to track spending by department, vendor, and expense categories, and currently includes data dating back to 2016, with older data soon to come. Learn more about Open Checkbook and the plans to expand transparency with more data and more features.
