$24 Million Federal Grant to Rehabilitate the City’s Wharf

CLIMATE RESILIENCE/INFRASTRUCTURE - Massachusetts: New Bedford Mayor Jon Mitchell announced a $24 million federal grant to rehabilitate the city’s Wharf and improve its resilience to climate change while boosting capacity for offshore wind staging. The infusion of federal funds is through the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and is the “culmination of years of planning by the New Bedford Port Authority to modernize the Port so it can enable us to establish a competitive advantage in marine industries,” said Mitchell.
