NewDEALers Seek to Keep Attention on Trump Damage to Economy, Healthcare, and Public Services
In a session with journalists this week about navigating the fallout of Washington upheaval, NewDEAL Leaders emphasized how they are confronting rising healthcare costs, economic harms, and underfunded public services resulting from the Trump Administration and Congressional Republicans. Amid daily controversies and the need to fight back against the Administration on numerous fronts, their comments are a reminder of the federal policies most directly affecting their work and their constituents’ day-to-day lives – issues that will also be central to Democrats regaining voters’ support.
Colorado State Senator Dylan Roberts, Pennsylvania Speaker of the House Joanna McClinton, Georgia House Minority Caucus Chairwoman Tanya Miller, Nevada State Treasurer Zach Conine, and Columbus, Ohio City Attorney Zach Klein spoke about their experience on the frontlines of their communities.

“We’re going to try to keep front and center those issues,” said NewDEAL CEO Debbie Cox Bultan, who spoke during the session about not only opposing the President but also offering voters an alternative proactive agenda for a brighter future.
