CLEAN  ENERGY - Hawaii: Hawai’i Governor Josh Green signed legislation sponsored by Speaker of the House Scott Saiki to reduce utility fees and empower clean energy solutions. As mounting insurance fees challenge property owners, HB2801 now counts condominium associations as commercial property owners, making them eligible to apply for state funding for improvements that bolster climate resiliency and building safety. Additionally, HB2685 allows condo owners to invest in a fund to finance solar rooftop panels and batteries to reduce their energy burden.
