COLORADO: Senator Chris Hansen championed a package of bills passed in the legislature to build on the state’s clean energy leadership by reducing emissions and growing the clean energy economy with good jobs. In an op-ed this week, Hansen emphasized how these efforts will build on the progress catalyzed by President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act. His legislation would provide technical support to spur more local wind and solar projects, connect residents to local solar, and update the state’s grid and distribution system to make it more reliable and able to support efforts to increase the adoption of electric vehicles,  electric heating and cooling systems, and more.
