Brian Turner is currently serving his third term representing Buncombe County in House District 116. He is passionate about supporting public education, protecting our state’s mountains and rivers, and growing local economies. He serves on the state’s Appropriations, Community Colleges, Wildlife Resources, and Environment committees.
Brian grew up in Buncombe County and received his Bachelors in Economics from Northwestern University and his MBA from Wake Forest University. He has had a varied career including producing for MTV, growing his family’s business Mills Manufacturing, and serving as Assistant Vice Chancellor at UNC Asheville.
Brian currently works as a commercial Realtor at NAI Beverly Hanks in Asheville. When he’s not working, Brian is an avid sportsman who enjoys being outdoors and traveling with his wife Katina and daughter Eleanor.
