He attended Thurgood Marshall School of Law, graduating with honors earning his Juris Doctorate. Edward also received his Certificate in Negotiation Mastery from Harvard Business School. Professionally, Edward is the principal owner of Pollard Legal Group, LLC, a boutique civil litigation law firm. His priorities on council have been creating the city’s first Food Insecurity Board, launching a modern approach to community policing called the District J Patrol, implementing free after school programing for families with autistic children, launching MoreJobsHouston.com, and a myriad of initiatives that provide prompt response for constituent services.

Edward is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and he and his family are members of the historic Antioch Missionary Baptist Church downtown.
