Representative Sam Park serves as the Democratic Whip in the Georgia House of Representatives, where he represents House District 107 in Gwinnett County. Elected in 2016, Park made history as the first openly gay man elected to the Georgia General Assembly and the first Asian American Democratic legislator in Georgia. A native Georgian and the son of Korean immigrants, Park is an attorney and public health advocate who also serves as General Counsel for Positive Impact Health Centers – a leading nonprofit HIV health center.
