Jelina Hendrickson

Fellow

Jelina Hendrickson joined the NewDEAL as a Spring 2025 Fellow. She is currently a third-year student at the University of California, Davis, where she is double-majoring in English and Political Science.

She previously interned in the Office of the California First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom, helping promote her California for ALL Kids and California for ALL Women campaigns. Jelina also explores her passion for film as an event organizer for the UC Davis Women’s Resources and Research Center Davis Feminist Film Festival, which showcases short films from around the world. She hopes to use her experience at the NewDEAL to further her career goal of becoming a nonprofit grant writer.
