Reyna Walters-Morgan is the Director of Civic Engagement and Voter Protection for the Democratic National Committee, where she leads the organization’s national voting rights and voter protection strategy.
Reyna is a proud alumna of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Howard University School of Law. Reyna started her voting rights advocacy work in college where she initiated efforts that eventually led to the first satellite polling location within walking distance of campus. After graduating from Howard, she worked in private practice at at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and later served as a Senior Attorney for the Social Security Administration.
In 2016, she decided to return to her organizing and advocacy roots and took a position as a Regional Voter Protection Director for the Hillary Clinton Campaign in Ohio.
After the 2016 campaign, she focused her full energy and attention to protecting the right to vote by starting her own law practice, Walters-Morgan Law PLLC, and managing the 2018 Election Protection program for North Carolina’s nonprofit organizations. Outside of her voting rights work, Reyna is an avid traveler, with 7 continents and 37 countries under her belt.
