Shelby has six campaign cycles of experience working with progressive campaigns and organizations. Prior to New Deal, Shelby was the Victory Campaign Board Senior Manager at LGBTQ+ Victory Fund where she managed the organizations political fundraising program. Prior to that she was the Campaign & Candidate Fundraiser at the Human Rights Campaign where she worked to raise funds for HRC’s endorsed candidates from its over 1.2 million members. Shelby has also served as the Campaign Manager for Sheriff Stacey Kincaid of Fairfax County, Virginia, and the Finance Director for Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-MD-8). Shelby is a native of Baltimore, Maryland but currently resides in Washington, DC with her husband and two dogs, Lupo and Remy.
