Pittsburgh Controller Rachael Heisler, a Cumberland Valley High School graduate, is one of 15 people selected to join a national network of rising Democratic leaders that includes Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. Austin Davis and House Speaker Joanna McClinton.

Heisler, who graduated CV in 2003 and was elected controller last year, was chosen to join the NewDEAL (Developing Exceptional American Leaders) “partly because of her dedication to fiscal responsibility in local government,” the group said in a joint statement with Heisler.
