Climate Solutions Roundtable

Session Description

Featuring Brad Smith, President of Microsoft, NewDEAL Leaders and other elected officials, national experts and policy innovators from the public and private sectors, this roundtable will showcase actions that can and are being taken at the state and local levels to address climate change and transition to a low carbon economy. The event will include the release of the NewDEAL Forum’s Climate Change Working Group’s recommendations to reduce emissions, promote resiliency, invest in climate equity, and broaden support for climate action.

Session Description

Join elected officials and private and public sector leaders for a discussion about remedying long-standing inequities against people of color and creating a new & better normal as we rebuild the nation’s economy in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ll touch on issues critical to economic recovery that have historically disproportionately affected communities of color including broadband access, support for minority entrepreneurs and other gaps in the social safety net.
