Connecticut: Representative Kate Farrar’s bill to improve access to and affordability of early childhood care and education was signed into law by Ned Lamont. It encourages public and private investment through an Early Childhood Care and Education Fund and Fund Advisory Commission, and establishes a wage supplement program for teachers in state-funded childcare programs. The Act also initiates a pilot Tri-Share Child Care Program that splits childcare costs among employees, employers, and the state government.
