Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego Announced University CHIPS Prototyping Hub

ARIZONA: Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, the White House, and partners at Arizona State University announced that five projects led by the university’s Southwest Advanced Prototyping HUB have been awarded nearly $30 million in federal funding to strengthen U.S. chip-making capabilities. Building on Mayor Gallego’s strategy for growing the industry in Phoenix, the ASU projects are among thirty-three that won  awards under the CHIPS and Science Act’s Microelectronics Commons initiative, which aims to boost domestic production and advance national security.
