Thatcher Kezer served as Mayor of Amesbury from 2006 to 2014.
Kezer was elected four times as Mayor and successfully moved Amesbury onto a solid financial footing by improving efficiencies, focusing on excellence in delivering core municipal services and implementing innovated ways to improve services while lowering costs.
Kezer implemented a data driven management system known as AmesStat. Through AmesStat, he transformed how the city does business in order to meet the dual challenge of controlling costs and delivering excellent municipal services. His two primary objectives in implementing AmesStat were to ensure performance accountability at all levels of city government, and to create a reference tool for the data necessary to advocate for resources to deliver services.
